Self-flaring fittings allow the assembly of copper and aluminum pipes without flaring, they are compatible with traditional 45° flared fittings and work with pipes of any thickness. Tests conducted in accordance with the European safety and environmental standard EN 378 demonstrate that they can also be used as a reliable alternative to brazing, for example for interventions in explosive environments.
The metallic seal and operating pressure up to 140 bar make this product particularly suitable for refrigeration and air conditioning systems operating with new refrigerants with low environmental impact for connecting pipes, valves, tanks and pipeline components in general.
The biting ring acts as a vise on the external surface of the pipe to withstand pressure and create an effective seal.
