The EWPX 171( / E) is a microprocessor-based digital instrument dedicated to controlling refrigerated units; in particular, it is suitable for applications on "static" drives at normal or low temperature. The instrument is equipped with two relay outputs to control the compressor and the defrost system; it provides, as input, two probes for temperature regulation and defrost management.
For applications in the refrigeration sector, temperature regulation takes place with the differential set to positive values; the compressor will stop when the setpoint value is reached, set to restart at a temperature value equal to the setpoint value plus the differential value. The instrument allows two types of defrost to be selected: electric (the compressor is stopped) or reverse cycle (hot gas; the compressor remains running);
