In compliance with the new European regulation no. 517/2014 concerning F-Gas, from January 1, 2015, the purchase/sale of Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases* (HFC refrigerant gases) will be subject to possessing the requirements prescribed in the regulation (personal license/company certification).
Specifically, all end-users who purchase F-gas for installation, assistance, and maintenance purposes (e.g., refrigeration engineers, heating engineers, garages, etc.) will only be able to do so if they hold the "license", which they must present at the time of purchase (Art. 11 point 4).
The seller has the obligation to record, in a special register, the name, license number, and quantity of gas purchased by the customer.
Those who do not perform installation, assistance, and maintenance (e.g., resellers, transporters, etc.) will not be obligated to purchase with a license but, at the time of purchase, they will need to fill out a communication in which they declare, under their own responsibility, the use they will make of the purchased gas.
