DESCRIPTION:
Oil separators must be installed in a vertical position. If the condenser is installed in a low position higher than the oil separator, it is advisable to insert a check valve to prevent liquid refrigerant from returning to the separator. It is essential to charge the oil indicated in the table by introducing it through the outlet connection. The separator body must be kept cool while welding the inlet and outlet connections. The inlet diameter of the separator must not be smaller than the discharge diameter of the compressor. To avoid excessive turbulence and noise, we recommend avoiding excessive amounts of refrigerant gas through the separator; the recommended speed is 0.4 to 0.6 m/s. To check the proper functioning of the separator, we recommend placing a liquid flow indicator model SPL on the oil return line to the compressor.
Construction materials:
The filter body is made entirely of steel. The flared connection fittings are copper-plated steel, while the solder connections are entirely copper. The internal filter is made of pure borosilicate.
