In accordance with the new European regulation no. 517/2014 concerning F-Gas, from January 1, 2015 the purchase/sale of Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases* (HFC refrigerant gases) will be subject to meeting the requirements prescribed in the regulation (personal license/company certification).
Specifically, all end-users who purchase F-gas for personal installation, service and maintenance purposes (e.g. refrigeration technicians, heating engineers, garages, etc.) can only do so if they hold the "license", which they must present at the time of purchase (art. 11 point 4).
The seller is obliged to record, in a specific register, the name, license number and quantity of gas purchased by the customer.
Those who do not carry out professional installation, service and maintenance activities (e.g. resellers, carriers, etc.) will not be obliged to purchase with a license, but at the time of purchase they will have to fill out a communication in which they declare, under their own responsibility, the use they will make of the purchased gas.
