In accordance with the new European regulation no. 517/2014 concerning F-Gas, from January 1, 2015 the purchase/sale of Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases* (HFC refrigerant gases) will be subject to meeting the requirements prescribed in the regulation (personal license/company certification).

Specifically, all those who are end-users and purchase F-gas for the purpose of personal installation, assistance and maintenance (e.g. refrigeration technicians, heating engineers, garages, etc.) will only be able to do so if they are in possession of the "license", which they will have to present at the time of purchase (art. 11 point 4).

The seller is obliged to record, in a specific register, the name, license number and quantity of gas purchased by the customer.

Those who do not carry out professional installation, assistance and maintenance activities (e.g. resellers, transporters, etc.), will not be obliged to purchase under license but, at the time of purchase, they will have to complete a declaration in which they state, under their own responsibility, the use they will make of the purchased gas.
