Description:
This valve is a dual-function non-return device designed for use in gas circuits in welding, oxy-acetylene cutting, and similar systems. This type of valve is used to prevent flashbacks and gas backflow into the supply line, thereby improving the safety of the gas-flame system. Features: Model: Double protection gas safety valve (flashback arrestor). Type: Flexible connection – designed to be installed in-line on the hose between the gas source and the equipment (e.g., torch or handle). Hose connection: Designed for hoses with a diameter of 7 to 11 mm, depending on the versions with hose connection. Function and Use:
This valve is part of Oxyturbo's double protection safety valves (flashback arrestors), designed to ensure that:
- combustible gases cannot flow back to the source, such as cylinders or regulators, in case of abnormal flow;
- the flame cannot propagate towards the supply line;
- Safety requirements in accordance with European standard EN 730-1 and the technical requirements of the industry for oxy-acetylene welding and cutting systems are met.
The 150260 valve is specifically designed for combustible gases (such as acetylene, propane, etc.) and must be installed in-line on the hose between the regulator/supply and the equipment.
Regulations and Safety:
- The valves are manufactured and marked in accordance with safety standards for flashback arrestors used in welding and flame cutting.
- In accordance with EN 730-1, replacement is required after each flashback or at least every 5 years.
- Oxyturbo tests each valve individually and provides an instruction manual including markings, flow direction, and maintenance instructions.
