Description:

This oxygen safety valve is a protective component designed for use in flame welding and oxy-acetylene cutting systems. It is a double-protection non-return valve ("flashback arrestor") designed to be mounted on the torch handle using a hose connector, in combination with flexible hoses of appropriate diameter.

Function and Use:

This valve is a non-return device used in welding/oxy-cutting systems to prevent:

• flame backflow into the gas line (flashback),
• gas backflow towards the gas source.

In flame welding, gas or flame backflow can be dangerous: this valve blocks these backflows when installed directly on the handle, in combination with the hose.

Regulations and Safety:

• Oxyturbo safety valves are 100% individually tested and supplied with an instruction manual containing markings, assembly and maintenance instructions.
• They are designed in accordance with European standard EN 730-1 relating to the safety of flame welding systems, and more specifically to flashback arrestors (which prevent flame and gas backflow).
• It is recommended to replace the valve every 5 years or after each flashback, in accordance with current safety standards.
