Self-flaring fittings allow connection of copper and aluminum pipes without flaring, are compatible with traditional 45° flared fittings, and work with pipes of any thickness. Tests carried out in accordance with the European safety and environmental standard EN 378 show that they can also be used as a reliable alternative to brazing, for example for interventions in explosive atmospheres.
The metal gasket and operating pressure up to 140 bar make this product particularly suitable for refrigeration and air conditioning systems operating with new low environmental impact refrigerants for connecting pipes, valves, tanks and pipeline components in general.
The clamping ring acts like a vice on the external surface of the pipe to withstand pressure and create an effective seal.
