Das in das Heizelement integrierte Thermostat gewährleistet einen vollständig automatischen Betrieb und wird nur aktiviert, wenn die Temperatur unter +5 °C fällt. Der runde, flache Teil des Thermostats (Sensorseite) muss korrekt positioniert sein, um die erforderlichen Informationen zu erfassen und das Heizelement zu aktivieren, wodurch die Bildung von Eis, Reif oder Schnee verhindert wird.
